Imani’s work centers on helping the public sector streamline operations, modernize technology, and improve the delivery of public services.
Prior to HR&A, she advised federal leaders in Washington, D.C. on strategy, technology transformation, and implementation across agencies spanning public safety, agriculture, financial services, education, and energy. She is known for translating quantitative and qualitative analysis into clear, actionable strategies that advance the public good.
Her research explores how institutions shape access to resources and economic opportunity. Her graduate work examined whether unrestricted municipal aid effectively addresses social and economic disparities across New York State, while her undergraduate thesis explored how national institutions influence whether natural-resource wealth positively benefits that nation.
A New York native, Imani is a proud REACH Prep alumna and volunteer committed to expanding educational access for students from historically underserved communities in the tristate area. Imani holds a Masters of Public Policy from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Politics and a minor in Economics from the University of San Francisco.
