Margaret believes in the power of data to inform more equitable and innovative housing affordability strategies.
Prior to joining HR&A, Margaret served as a Program Manager at the Center for NYC Neighborhoods, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting and protecting affordable homeownership in New York. There, she authored a citywide study of accessory dwelling unit feasibility, analyzing where ADU development is viable and identifying the regulatory and financial conditions necessary to enable adoption among low- and moderate-income homeowners. She also co-led the Center’s biannual Market Dynamics reporting series, tracking home sales, cash purchases, property flips, and foreclosure patterns across New York City neighborhoods.
Earlier, Margaret worked as an Analyst at Public Works Partners, a planning and consulting firm, where she developed proposals for projects including the City of Hudson Comprehensive Master Plan and NYCEDC’s $56 million Chinatown Connections project, a public realm revitalization effort in Lower Manhattan.
Margaret holds a Master of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
