HR&A developed a strategy to reposition a notable research park in Doha as a global center of corporate research excellence — designing a framework that deepens ties between the research park’s multinational corporate tenants, Education City, and Qatar’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem to advance the country’s knowledge economy ambitions.
Through extensive stakeholder interviews and desktop research, HR&A conducted an in-depth assessment of the challenges and opportunities facing the research park, benchmarking its current position against international case studies to identify credible paths forward. The resulting framework centers on promoting convergence among local and international corporations and universities — with particular emphasis on deepening the research park’s relationships with various stakeholders. New programming and partnerships anchored in this relationship are designed to accelerate the development and deployment of technologies that address global needs while cultivating local talent.
The proposed strategy repositions the research park as a global center of corporate research excellence — one that reflects the region’s tradition of ambition and positions the park to deliver on its founding promise of diversifying the national economy through innovation.
